What is Hiphopindo.Net?

Is the first independent net-media/web-zine that concentrates on hip hop cultures and hip hop communities in indonesia. It was firstly founded in 1999 with the name hiphopindo.com by Ferri Yuniardo and John Norman P, who are also the members of a rap group duo called Sweet Martabak and the one-half of a collectives rap group, P-Squad.

The website was intended as an independent media source that gives better information about local and international hip hop scenes to indonesian hip hop music fans, promoting local artist, help organize hip hop events & supporting hip hop related activities.

In the year 2000 the website added a forum as a features, that then developed itself into becoming a unique online hip hop community that consisted of rappers, b-boys, graffiti writers, deejays, music producer and any of those who are passionate about the hip hop music culture. These kids in forums then used the term: “Anak HIPHOPINDO”. As the forum user/member grew, the terms are becoming widely used and spreaded nationaly and internationally to identify this unique indonesian hip hop culture.

9 years Hiphopindo.net has been known nationally and even to other countries as one of the biggest hip hop representation in indonesia.

We have been there with the indonesian hip hop lovers and its progress through the years, and we’re still not planning to stop.
